The $8000 Rebate, in a Nutshell

Are you in the market for Fayetteville NC homes? If you are a first time home buyer or haven't owned a home in the last 3 years then the federal government has a gift for you, an $8000 tax rebate when you buy a home. This $8000 tax rebate is different than the $7500 rebate previously offered. Not just because it is more money but because with the $7500 rebate you would have to pay it back over time, with the new $8000 rebate you are not required to re-pay it.

Yeah, that's right, it's yours to keep, and without restrictions. You can invest it, buy new carpet, re-do a kitchen, buy a motor-cycle, have a wild party, or whatever else your heart desires.

Now let's get serious for a moment. If you've been sitting on the fence about buying a home, now is the time. Te governement will give you money, interest rates are at record lows and there are plenty of homes available. The Fayetteville NC homes market is steadily appreciating. With bank foreclosures, VA and HUD homes, and Short Sales you will surely find a great home at a price you can't pass up.

Charlotte Day Trips Examiner: 1897 Poe House: home of Edgar Allen Poe of Fayetteville, NC

A magnificent example of some of the many Fayetteville NC homes is the Edgar Allen Poe house. No, not the the poet but a Fayetteville businessman of the late 19th century. I've taken the tour myself and it really is a trip back in time. Sorry this one is not for sale.

The house is located next to the Museum of the Cape Fear another worthwhile stop. There is a footbridge on the grounds of the museum that takes you across highway 87 to the Ghost tower which is a huge metal structure that stands on one of the corners that the original corner tower, one of four, used as lookout for the arsenal.

Checkout the article below for information on the Poe house
